Archdiocese of Indianapolis resettles Syrian refugees
From the Scala newsletter:
The Catholic Archdiocese of Indianapolis has resettled a family of four Syrian refugees despite protests from the governor. Archbishop Joseph Tobin, C.Ss.R., met with Governor Mike Pence to explain to him the role of the archdiocese in the Refugee and Immigrant Services program.
The archdiocese said helping people escape violence is an “essential part of our identity as Catholic Christians and we will continue this life-saving tradition.”
