Deacon Calvin Auguiste runs the Boston Marathon

On April 20 Deacon Calvin Auguiste ran the Boston Marathon for the second time, finishing in 3:38. He ran this year’s marathon after a schoolmate from Boston College gave him her entry.

Colleen, a married mother of two grown children, shares classes with Deacon Calvin and Deacon Jacky Merilan and has run the Boston Marathon several times.

She had previously run to support Children’s Hospital, which saved her son’s life some years ago. This year she heard Deacon Calvin talking about the marathon, and because she had been accepted but was not planning to run, she gave her entry to him.
